About Ruchir Puri

Ruchir Puri, M.D., M.S., FACS, is a University of Florida Associate Professor of surgery and a board-certified surgeon at UF Health Jacksonville. He also serves as Program Director for the General Surgery Residency. Dr. Puri specializes in minimally invasive treatment of gastroesophageal reflux (GERD) disease, hiatal hernias and other foregut disorders. He received his medical degree from Ganesh Shankar Vidyarthi Memorial Medical College in Kanpur, India. He completed his surgery residency at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio, Texas, as well as a minimally invasive surgery fellowship at Mayo Clinic College of Medicine in Jacksonville, Florida.
